Chicago is a train city. Everyone rides trains, even suburbanites. So a train house with Chicago model trains is like the ultimate recursive meta for Chicago train foamers.

The fundraising texts you delete are working on someone. It’s infuriating and heartbreaking. An 85yo in Ohio gave more than double the value of his home. A 91yo in an Indianapolis senior facility gave 25K times. The DCCC/DSCC don’t just tolerate the spammers who exploit seniors. They take part.

It used to be normal in the US, theaters had "cry rooms" that had a little sound proof room with a window. if the baby was crying the parent would take the baby there to calm down, maybe nurse, and still be able to see the movie. We're hostile to babies in public now tho

Three panel comic. Panel 1: a seal and a shark are laying in bed, getting hot and heavy. The seal romantically says, “Shark…” Panel 2: with its eyes still closed, the shark replies, “person on a boogie board…” The seal suddenly opens its eyes, looking pissed. Panel 3: the seal exclaims, “what!?” And the embarrassed looking shark says “uh…” The shark has a thought bubble and is imagining a swimsuit-clad balding man with sunblock and goggles holding a boogie board.

Why Aren’t There More Imax 70mm Screens for ‘The Odyssey’? variety.com/2026/film/ne...
Sources at Imax confirmed to Varietythat many of the parts needed to build these specialized film projectors "simply no longer exist." The original design files were created roughly half a century ago, but as Gelfond alludes to, they were never properly maintained. As a result, Imax no longer has a complete manufacturing blueprint — and much like the lost tribal knowledge of the Apollo-era spacecraft, very few engineers working today fully understand the systems.

Absolutely right. They CAN'T articulate why not because of an inability to articulate why, but because it would give the game if they articulate why.

There are already human resources allocated to the mass affluent AND the "truly rich". This just means the human resources serving the mass affluent market are replaced by AI. Sure... some resources will move up the chain but that was the normal progress in the job before as well

Deluxe has had a meaning in burgers pre-mcdonalds that meant just about that. Lettuce, onions, tomato and mayo. A burger with "everything" meant ketchup, mustard, pickle (I think onion as well but i don't remember).

Love this for them #subnautica #videogames #gaming
Screenshot of a Bluesky post by Kevin Beaumont mocking the CEO of Krafton, who reportedly consulted ChatGPT for advice on how to avoid paying $250 million in bonuses to Subnautica 2 developers if the game launched successfully. The post notes that the CEO executed the ChatGPT-generated plan, was subsequently sued by staff, had the chat logs entered as evidence in court, lost the lawsuit, and now faces paying more than the original $250 million while being publicly embarrassed by his own employees. Embedded within the post is a quote from journalist Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier.bsky.social) stating that Subnautica 2 launched 20 minutes prior and that Krafton would be forced to pay the bonus it tried to avoid via ChatGPT's advice. Below Schreier's text is a Steam charts screenshot showing Subnautica 2 with 293,164 concurrent players, matching both the 24-hour peak and all-time peak recorded 53 seconds prior. The post is timestamped 16:22 on May 14, 2026.
