been cooking a lot more since I got laid off. it’s been nice. the rote pleasure of switching my brain off as I chop vegetables, the deeper joys of seeing family enjoy something I made. I cooked takikomi gohan for my wife’s birthday today. turned out great. loved being able to do it.
