been cooking a lot more since I got laid off. it’s been nice. the rote pleasure of switching my brain off as I chop vegetables, the deeper joys of seeing family enjoy something I made. I cooked takikomi gohan for my wife’s birthday today. turned out great. loved being able to do it.

A bowl of takikomi gohan, cooked according to iron chef masaharu morimoto’s cookbook

watched black tight killers last night, and it's the kind of movie that makes me love that movies exist, you know? seijun suzuki protege yasuharu hasebe takes a boilerplate spy movie and transforms it into a slice of delirious '60s pop art. not a boring shot in the whole picture.

there is one item on this list of "ps4 games under $10" that is actually under $10 and it's a blu-ray of the 1986 remake of little shop of horrors, amazon rocks

the under $10 list of ps4 games on amazon. it includes games like sonic colors, battlefield 2042, and titanfall 2. everything is over $10, except for a blu-ray of the directors cut of little shop of horrors, which is a movie, not a video game. it is listed at $9.99
