2+ years later, I am still a little perplexed that r(eplicability)-hacking by high-profile names has not created even a tenth of the outrage or pushback that any given p-hacking case regularly does, despite all the evidence. it says a lot about not what we care about but why.

I note that I am highly motivated to agree with this result, but it also feels unsurprising -- people actually just kind of like living in nice places and if you tax the very wealthy more they will likely adapt in other ways (not by moving).
