As usual a lot of it comes down to execution. I hate the empty field step based random encounters because well, it makes the environments feel empty. Show me the encounters in the field somehow and I'll be happy. Make that monster forest actually feel like one etc

I guess I should just uninstall Discord's desktop app. For whatever reason all UI actions are horribly laggy these days. Tried a bunch of things and nothing seems to work to fix it. Meanwhile if I open Discord in a browser tab everything just works fast and snappy. No idea why it's so messed up.

Doing some stuff and came up with this regex to determine if a word is likely to be romanized Japanese by checking if it fits a JP-like syllable structure: /^(?:(?:(?:([kstnhmrwgzdbpzjf])\1?|sh|ch|ts)?y?[aiueo])|n'?)+$/i It has false positives in EN (eg. "woman") but should work generally fine!
