[SEGA] An explosion of SEGA Power!! Virtua Fighter makes waves at 1993's Amusement Machine Show, described by Gekkan PC Engine as the centerpiece of SEGA's booth this year. There's "Virtual Fishing" noted here as a "reference (demonstration) exhibit". A precursor to 1994's Sports Fishing, perhaps?

Clip from the November 1993 issue of Gekkan PC Engine (月刊PCエンジン）. Like the parent post, it's part of the special feature on the 31st Amusement Machine Show held in 1993 at Makuhari Messe. This clip is for Sega, showing off familiar sights like Virtua Figther and Sonic the Hedgehog, but also a "Virtual Fishing" game complete with simulation fishing rod, and a "taikan" game simply titled Dragon Ball, involving the player standing atop a futuristic-looking platform.

PETIT BLOCK kit from Daiso, RS-03 SONIC ICARUS. It's a blue space ship with neon green highlights. The packaging demonstrates how you can make it into a humanoid robot if you use more parts, but this basic kit gives you just enough for the fighter ship.

Completed kit. Looks exactly as advertised, and even includes a nifty stand that's also made of bricks. Nice touch.

Tokimeki! Episode Preview Academy（トキメキ！次回予告学園）by 愉快班 is an indie table game that tasks players with constructing the "On the Next Episode…" teaser for a school-life shoujo anime. I'm infatuated with the premise & the illustrations feel wonderfully nostalgic. First debuted at Game Market Fall 2024.

The Booth.pm store page for トキメキ！次回予告学園 by 愉快班, with a nifty debut flag marking ゲムマ2024秋. The game box sets the scene at a vibrant school facade, and the side image shows off some of the game cards with key words and phrases you might find in a "next episode preview" of a classic shoujo anime.

𝗜 think 𝘆𝗼𝘂 should play Warlords, the classic arcade game from Atari. The early 80s had so many incredible arcade games, and I consider Warlords to be up there among my faves. It's real-time battle action for up to 2-4 human players (version dependent) with wicked cool medieval fantasy style.

The Operation, Maintenance, and Service Manual for Atari's Warlords, document TM-175. It features a cool illustration of a dark knight on horseback, encroaching upon a tower that shoots flaming stone projectiles, looking like red-hot meteor. The manual scan is sourced from the Internet Archive, kindly uploaded by user snorkasaurus.

Screenshot of the starting demo-play screen for Atari's Warlords arcade game. The onscreen text "4 PLAYER, 1 CREDIT PER GAME" confirms this is a version that allows up to four human players to battle at once. This feature could be found in the cocktail cabinet versions of Warlords, as opposed to the standing cabinet versions that allowed up to two human players at once.

This game has a Shot Encyclopedia where players can leave comments with strats and ratings on the various shot types for score attacks etc. Anyway the entry for Soul Pain has a top comment that begins with a text diagram of the shot layout, complete with emoji hands ✋ and it made me laugh. ＃ゴ魔乙
