Thanks! Yeah, almost all the #PbtA complaints I hear about seem to stem from this disconnect with understanding what the MC's role is in most games. Master of CEREMONIES, aka the Host, The One that Facilitates; not the Master of the Game or the Foe of Players.

It's okay to hit "rewind" on occasion and have a do-over; yes consequences are part of (most) games, but "having fun" (in all its permutations) is usually a bigger part. It's not cheating to say, "That/we kind of sucked, can we try it again?" Ask yourself "Why am I playing this?" to figure it out.
