There’s a very obviously asymmetric demand on queer fictional characters to make themselves legible in a way cishet do not have to. Like, Witch from Mercury and people just kinda… deciding it’s not gay despite the lesbian marriage is the obvious stand out, but it really cuts across queer rep.
