So much marketing when bidets are so much better and should be everywhere. Also why I have a travel bidet, because this is an uncivilized land and even if it were, sometimes you need to use some austere facilities.

Battery sleds push that CG close to the road, it’s a shame w don’t have more EV Van options here — Kia has some really cool ones (PV5/PV7) and we just don’t get to have them in the US.

I woke up about two hours before sunrise this morning after a nightmare and couldn’t fall back asleep. So I packed my things, drove out to the swamp, and went for an early morning walk to watch the cranes. #nature #photography #sunrise #autumn #cranes #morninghike
Sunrise over a misty wetland, with glowing clouds reflected in the calm water. Several cranes fly across the horizon while more birds gather in the shallow marsh below, silhouetted against the warm morning light.

Well that works nicely. I’ll have to get one more shelf for that and another just like it and I’ll have some lovely craft shelving for the basement leather shop.
A green metal shelf against a green wall, next to a chest freezer. There is leather on the shelves.

As we all know, the Lord’s Day is for loosing your shafts in the butts. (Not bad for a child or an invalid… but all the range we have. No 200 yard fields here and I don’t have a proper war bow either. Yet.)
A green grass archery field under a blue sky with a hill on the background and various bales and butts scattered over the field. An archery butt in front of a hill, with two shafts in it and a few more scattered around.A closeup of an arrow splitting the wooden leg of an archery target in the grass

A dozen big stakes left to do, which will be the work of Monday or Wednesday evening after classes this week, with time left for making a few more Roman implements (fire tubes with hooks). Three dozen big stakes and seven dozen small stakes (plus a couple extras).
A large number of steel tent stakes bundled by the dozen and sitting in the back of a car.

I so don’t want to tackle all the old old wiring in my house. I also very much want to replace all the old wiring in my house. And also put a few more circuits in, it’s pretty sparse!

Every day since this idiot war started is another day I’m glad I got my electric car a few years ago. Even when gas prices were lower it was pretty great, but now it’s like… oof. People wanting 93 octane in Chicago Proper are paying like $6.60/gal. $5.60 for 87 isn’t much better.

Anyway, the Iran conflict is probably one of the less destructive ways Trump could detonate his political power. Albeit still hugely destructive. But at least we're getting a forced green energy transition and electrification (much stronger than any politically viable federal incentive).

Found an album of French Republican Guard cavalry regiment band music, so it’s almost all big trumpet blasts and some bass brasses and it’s just making my little trumpet player brain so happy. So much blisteringly bright brass blaring.

New bread today. Another solid result, though I forgot to turn the oven down. It’ll be fine. Also the scoring was… maybe suboptimal. But it amused me so that happened.

More stakes. Induction forge makes it nice and quick and everything is easy to handle. This took me a bit under an hour to taper and bend all two dozen.

They really should pick up Warhammer 40K. They can endlessly argue about the fluff like the rest of us while $1 Billion will allow them to collect three, maybe five armies at the same time (all of which will be Black Templars, you all know why).

Best looking bread I’ve made in a while. Could have done a longer, warmer final proof, but I wanted to get it done while I could keep it enough in focus not to forget about and ruin. Hard to see but I got a little carried away with the scoring to be more plant-like.

Another thing to remember on this bisexual day is that The Grungler is canonically bi. I do enjoy how it's become a term for "token cis guy who hangs out with a bunch of trans weirdos" but the original post was also about straight women being weird about bi men.
women will go on a 1st date with a guy and things will be going well until the guy casually mentions he's bi and she'll go home and start posting stuff like like 'we need to normalize being straight' and 'whatever happened to beauty' meanwhile the guy went home to play video games with a bunch of weird discord transsexuals and he named his character 'the grungler' and he keeps saying stuff like 'check it out guys, i'm the grungler'
