My @crewforlife.bsky.social #GiftOFMD exchange gift for @tragicallynerdy.bsky.social never made it on here, I believe! A teal oranges maple moth embroidery and a ‘family, who-fucked-in-Morse-code’ bracelet, plus a card with jellyfish by my eldest - many firsts for me; pretty proud of us both 🙂

On a pink background, half a cream coloured card is visible with an alcohol marker drawing of jellyfish in blues and yellows. Coming out from underneath it, a bracelet consisting mostly of orange and teal heishi beads (tiny discs) plus letter beads spelling out FAMILY.
Finally, a light blue fabric square embroidered with an approximate rosy maple moth, its wings decorated with an orange and an earring with a tiny teal bead.

I've been meaning to share my lovely goodies from @lavenderluxury.bsky.social who did an awesome job of making and putting together this varied collection. I especially love the double-sided bookmark, and they wrote me a lovely postcard.

A collection of gifts from the Crew for Life Gift Exchange.

Left to right: decorative craft papers with impressionist paintings on them, a cursed suit themed bracelet, an Izzy pin badge, a Maleficent bookmark, a Stede and Izzy pin badge, a shark postcard with the words 'Shark! Who goes there?', a Stede themed bracelet, a Gustav Klimt sticker sheet, and a MerStede pin badge.

Same collection of items as the previous photo but the bookmark has been flipped to show the reverse, which has Maleficent's dragon persona on it.

A very cute embroidery of Fang with a puppy and a goat friend. He is sitting with his eyes closed on a pink lotus flower, text above him says “be kind” and below says “to yourself”. The design is about 3 inches high with lots of tiny details including Fang’s tattoos, the studs on his head belt, and rosy spots on his cheeks.

My @crewforlife.bsky.social gift for @strophamb.bsky.social is now up on Ao3! Jim/Ed, getting older and watching the aurora borealis together, caught in the feeling of being very small in the world <3 2K, rated G. archiveofourown.org/works/80950136

A screenshot of an Ao3 fic that reads: dearly loved by tragicallynerdy

Summary:

“Look up,” Jim whispers, hand finding his again, body warm against his side.

The night sky here is always beautiful. Darker than it ever is in the city, deep and rich with so many fucking stars that he can barely believe it’s real. It reminds him of being a kid, in the tiny village he grew up in, lying on the grass and staring up at the stars until he was lost among them. It’s a good feeling.

But now – oh, now –

Greens and blues and a deep red wash across the sky, painting the night like poetry. Brighter than he’d thought possible, stretching so high, so wide, until it’s all that Ed can see.

And not just painted there – they’re moving. Dancing their way through the sky, slowly flickering to their celestial song. Ed swears he can almost hear it. He feels it, deep in his bones, ringing through with that sense of wonder that he’d thought he had lost, once upon a time.

“The northern lights,” Ed whispers, unable to look away. “Holy shit.”

Jim and Ed, getting older and watching the night skies.
