I wanna believe that somewhere out there, there’s a text thread that goes something like this: Wow so they are still *really* into the gay pirates, huh? Told you! (lots of dancing dots later) What if we just….fuck I don’t care, but maybe we just….do S3? 👀

If I had a nickel for everytime two characters have a deeply serious conversation that unironically uses the phrase “doggy heaven”….it wouldn’t be *a lot* of nickels but it’s definitely happened more than one might expect.

Stede, caring, noble, wise: “I get that you’re angry. So be angry at me.” Also Stede after approx 30 seconds of Lucius being angry at him: EJECT!!

Okay so fun fact we started jokingly using the phrase “say a proper goodbye” with my niece and nephews during covid-era family zooms (to which they started just saying “proper goodbye!”). So that line always hits weird for me in S2E2 😂

Ed papering over the windows clearly trying to stay in the dark and make the cabin one big pillow fort but giving up halfway thru the project. So real.

Ed is talking to Frenchie. In the background you can see two windows that have been papered over and the other two are not.

Ed, please don’t, you’re scaring the kids. But also if you’re gonna do it anyway, thank you for looking so insanely hot.

Ed is holding a gun, questioning the crew about the atmosphere on the ship. He looks ridiculously beautiful while doing so.

Stede demanding privacy at the public notice board I love you you ridiculous bitch 🥰

Stede is standing in front of a public notice board. He’s been talking to Ed’s wanted poster. He’s turned around to face Ricky and looks incredibly irritated

“Demon? I’m the fuckin’ devil. And these are the kids.” is an absolute banger of a line. Well done, Ed. I’ve never been the same.

Look at this lil idiot. Thriving. Up and at ‘em, ready for another day of writing love letters. Putting them in bottles. Throwing them in the sea.

Never getting over the tears in Dream Stede’s eyes when he’s yelling Ed’s name. Also never getting over the ridiculous lengths of fabric on the sleeves of his shirt. He would get so annoyed and bitchy about those after five minutes let’s be real.

Tried to take Duffy to the vet. Never made it because my car battery died when I stopped on the way to pick him up from home. Trying again tomorrow (and taking the whole freaking day off to do it, as a treat lol) 🫠🫠🫠

VERY excited to report that I dreamt I was at a screening for Wilderpeople and then due to weird dream stuff I had to miss the end of the Q&A but THEN I was outside at the door that RD and TW exited and I got to tell them how much I loved it. So thanks for putting that into my brain, crew!!! 🏴‍☠️❤️

Okay. There have been other screenings and this wasn’t said (that I know of). So what made him say so tonight? Basically I’m asking is he in our walls.

Okay but Ep 4 of Widow’s Bay is essentially a dramatization of Katie Dippold’s Babadook Halloween fiasco, we all get that now, right??

So excited for you all to see this amazing project! I had frame 108. I was nervous to participate but got Procreate, learned about layers and tracing and had fun figuring out how to “paint” and add little details. I cheated on the background, going for sheet music of La Vie En Rose in OFMD pink.

My final frame. Ed and Stede are kissing. Ed’s right hand is holding Stede’s neck. The background is a parchment color with hot pink music notes from sheet music for La Vie En Rose.

Top: my original frame which was very very very very dark

Middle: my frame lightened within an inch of its life

Bottom: tracing done in Procreate with a pencil brush.
