Superb football from England. Only unhappy that Saka had to play the whole 90. Hope he’s only on the bench Tuesday.

A man builds an IED. He sets it off in a busy public street. Shrapnel flies about hitting cars, homes and a child's bedroom. It's a miracle nobody is injured. And Reform MP Sarah Pochin calls his imprisonment "disproportionate" and "two tier justice."
It does raise this point of two-tiered
justice..

Reform's Sarah Pochin believes the
sentence handed to the 64-year-old who
blew up a ULEZ camera was
disproportionate'.

"I do actually thank the City Football Group and the wider ownership for the money that they didn't just put into the Etihad [Stadium] and the campus around it but also into the city". It cost £112m to build. It cost £42m to convert into a football ground. City paid £20m. Taxpayers paid the rest.

How is it possible? Because he told a personal, emotive story, sure. But also he told a moral story: using the funds to help establish a care service. It feels fair. And the decision to opt for a branded institutional structure with strong echoes of the NHS makes it tangible.

Findings have been made, City are appealing and nothing is certain at this stage. Consequently, any comment on criminal liability is pure speculation. But if hypothetically a football club were to have been found guilty of providing inaccurate financial information and payments to players…

Burnham today v impressive. The idea itself, the scale of what is being proposed, the determination to push ahead despite how vulnerable it makes him, and the big fundamental point behind it all: that mainstream politics will only survive if it proves it can solve big problems.

Liar. Small boat crossings peaked under Johnson in 2022 reaching 46,000 in 2022. In current year they are 18,565 and falling. Also prior to Boris Johnson's Brexit there were none.
It's a disaster, and it can all be traced to
Labour ideology. Burnham has no mandate
from the people. He has no real ideas, and
no plan,

Johnson on X
