Luna got two surgeries yesterday. Firstly, a big lump off her side, which will be sent out for analysis. Next, her two front canines had to go. The teeth were healthy, but were too long and had begun to affect her sinuses. She kept sneezing and began to develop some breathing issues.

Let this sink in. Cornell University refused to refund Jane Doe's tuition the semester she was raped. Without this money, she could not transfer to another school. Essentially, she was forced to stay on campus where she saw those seven rapists frequently. Eventually she dropped out of college.

I'm at Seattle city hall where SDOT is giving the council a deep dive on its proposed 2027-2028 budget. At a high level: the department is making big reductions to respond to a major projected deficit in the transportation fund. Without changes, SDOT would be looking at a $113M deficit by 2028.

the really unfortunate thing is that greater awareness of “rapid [apparent] onset of ADHD” should actually be beneficial because that’s a very classic presentation of the inattentive subtype of ADHD specifically. eg., you have a kid who did really well grades 1-8 who suddenly is failing in grade 9

My job was affected by this week’s Microsoft/Xbox layoffs. Given I’m on disability leave, this hilariously affects nothing about my day-to-day life, but it sucks to know that if I ever get well enough to work again, I’ll be facing a job hunt instead of being able to ease into my old job part-time.
