Really wish @adobe.com app would allow me to turn off the ai stuff. I hate how much screen real estate it takes up every time I open the same file. I dont want a stupid summary, I want to read my document.

Heat pumps are the most efficient heating technology ever invented. They harvest and compress pre existing heat in the air, ground or water and transport it where it is needed. That energy is all around us. And it does not have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

If we made the green energy transition this war would be unthinkable and these authoritarians wouldn’t be in power — not in the US, not in Iran, not in Saudi Arabia, not in Russia. Hydrocarbons are killing our freedom and just plain killing us.

At a time when we're faced with how valuable our ground water is to the future of our community we can't afford to let gravel pits and quarries drain the aquifers that we rely on. We need to protect our water for our people and our communities.

In terms of what cures are being lost: - Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis - herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis - shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease
"Moderna's CEO announced the company will no longer invest in new Phase 3 vaccine trials for infectious diseases: 'You cannot make a return on investment if you don't have access to the U.S. market. Vaccines for Epstein-Barr virus, herpes, and shingles have been shelved.”

If you're churning out a book a day to list on Amazon for maximal bot reviews you paid for, you're not writing. If you wrote a book or even a chapter or a paper in less time than it takes me to read it - you're not writing. If you cut out the process just to spew the product, you're not *writing*.

First, the UCP said there was an “election integrity crisis," which led to a voter ID law. Then a “national unity crisis” → a sovereignty referendum. Now a “crisis of confidence” in the courts → defunding judges. There is no evidence of these crises. The UCP is trying to manufacture them.

The thing that bothers me so much about Carney's joke about greenlighting the Heated Rivalry show is that it furthers the narrative that it's a needle in a haystack. Anyone who reads Canadian books and watches Canadian film knows that we could have dozens more HRs with enough funding.

I worked for the PUC during the freeze in 2011 when we learned about these problems. The sad thing is we had grant funds and studied them, found solutions, but the state didn’t carry them out. I designed a plan to relieve stress on the grid in emergencies, never used—would kill those juicy profits.

I don't have a large following, but if you're reading this... hop off Bsky, look up your local commissioners, mayor, etc and write to ask them to publicly denounce ICE, to take a stand saying ICE is not welcome in your town, and they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Repeat daily.

It’s no guarantee but the first thing you should do if you see an outrageous story that’s just an image or screenshot or video with no link to a reputable source is to check the replies and see if someone is saying “that’s an AI fake.” And then don’t spread it either way because it’s not sourced.
