Sainsbury’s had everything today, (although they sent me the wrong type of cabbage, not the end of the world- thinking of making colcannon at some point) All the freezy stuff packed away and most of the pantry stuff, think I’m going to see if I can sleep a bit.

Think it was poor Teaser that C-c was shouting at, as his fur is growing out again, C-c seems to see him more of a problem. He was looking lost on the table a couple of nights ago, he can’t understand why the meze bowl has gone. It’s a lot more peaceful without it though.

In desperation I gave Cat-cat a pouch of Hill’s Science Plan Kidney diet food I’d bought Gotti that she hated. Anyway, after looking at it with suspicion he ate a bit and seemed to enjoy the gravy. So if he likes that I can put the solid bits out for the Crowes if Lettuce doesn’t eat it.

I’ve my incomparable beef goulash planned for the weekend. I’ve one pack of cubed beef in the freezer, and another on order tomorrow. All the spices present and correct. I should really buy whole pimento, ground allspice loses its flavour so quickly. Horrible to grind though.

Getting very breathless this morning. I don’t know if it’s the humidity or because I’m loaded with ibuprofen (although that has never had an effect before, but people with breathing problems are always warned) or perhaps because there’s a “R” in the month. Who the hell knows?

That’s all done, freezer stock much as I imagined it, with a couple of major outliers. Lotsa tins of beans in the cupboard, that’s always good. Think they are all within date. Some are difficult to discern, with different numbers and dates and times on both ends of the tin!

What with finding the ancient can of veg yesterday, I’ve decided to have a stocktake and sort out of the larder cupboards and freezers today. I’m hoping that this will make it easier for me to budget and plan. Got to bring down the grocery bill somehow. I better limber up my spine.

A very hungry Lettuce! Second time she’s been back to eat Cat-cat’s refreshed dinner. I’ve seen her hanging around down the bottom flats where Butch and Sundance live, I wonder if she lives with them? Although she has a collar, she looks a bit tatty. Totally brazen though.

Found a can of ratatouille in the cupboard that expired in 2013! I did a clear out about a year ago, so I dunno how this rascal went unnoticed. It’s not “blown” at all but the bottom rim looks a bit rusty, so I’ve got rid before it explodes and flattens the whole terrace of bungalows.

Think I’ve got all the companies that email me switched over to the new email address, well all that it’s possible to. There a few that it’s seemingly impossible to change either your address or password. I don’t know what that’s about, usual shitty programming probably. Dinner good!

All the chores done, the filling of the cottage pie made, just got to boil and mash the spuds for the topping. Cat-cat been in and out all morning, he’s unhappy with all his food. I’ll scroll through and see if there’s anything he may like with Friday’s delivery.

I wonder why Cat-cat just chased Max off? Big hissing! They normally get along fine. Cat-cat is like one of those club doormen who changes the rules constantly according to some secret script in his head. I also think he’s sometimes trying to be playful, but misunderstood. Frontier Town on now.

Taken beef mince out, I’ll make cottage pie tomorrow, always good. My Favourite Husband, with Lucille Ball on the radio. I like this, it hasn’t dated like some other old time comedies. Although some of them may be a transatlantic rift. Duffy’s Tavern does nothing for me.

Cat-cat and I both had a wash and are in bed. I don’t intend to get up again except for a call of nature, he will probably go and have a look around and shout at someone during the night. It seems to bring him satisfaction, even if it’s bloodcurdling to the rest of us.

Well, surprisingly I got through the day with only 2 hrs sleep last night. I’ll listen to the news and 6:30 comedy and have a shower before bed. Geoff Norcott tonight, I don’t like his politics but he doesn’t push them down your throat, so that’s ok. He’s still pretty funny.

Postman left a letter and 6 “Zaika” takeaway menus through the letterbox, another 9 thrown on the ground. Weirdly, my doorbell camera didn’t register him at all. Maybe he wasn’t a “person”, as I’ve switched off motion detection or I get a zillion hits from people walking past.

I guess a pile of carrot potato mash doesn’t have much staying power. I’m hungry as hell now and can’t eat anything because of the stupid 8hr fast before taking Rybelsus. I think Milo/Tink enjoys panning for treats more than anything. There some on the carpet already, as Cat-cat is lazy, but Tink would rather mine for them.

Done all my Monday stuff, as well as peeled and chopped potatoes and carrots ready to boil up later. Seems to be a lot of stuff, but I think I’m just slow. Cat-cat has been doing sunbathing duty. I must really get him a deck chair and towel of his own.
