It's hard for me to express how grateful I am for the people who send us aid every month and when they can. We don't buy a lot of hoo-ha but we have a lot of animals and loans big and small from when times were very hard. You feed us. You keep the lights on and the water running. We love you all.

Let's do this. Late but good day from the jungle. It's already after noon and AccuWeather says it's 92°F with 61% humility making a Real Jungle Feel of 103°F. Clouds and sun and thunderstorms are called for at the airport but we have mostly sunny here. Facial swelling is way down. Pian is twinges.

Here's the scrambled eggs and Chinese sausage my MIL just whipped up for me. I bitch and sometimes feel excluded but I'm glad the wife's fam is here. I told her when they wanted to move back after leaving us that I wasn't mad. I was at the end of my ability to help here. I appreciate them.

As is said in the thread, you can do that with a lot of the actresses that became well-known after their youth. People know Shelly Winters for The Poseidon Adventure (1972) but do they know the Shelly Winters who was pursued by Brando, Burt Lancaster and Bill Holden? What a dish!

Filipinos start listening to Christmas songs on September 1. That's okay except the addition of music to keep the repetition down. Songs like "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Jim Carrey, "White Crispness" by Norm Crosby and "Santa, Infant" by Knight Industries KITT.

So I started using Cork as a way to organize my alleged book. I filled out 19 scene cards to get to the point I'm at. I originally had a loose framework inmy mind but maybe plotting it will be better. I do tend to overthink though.

MIL made me lugaw (Filipino rice porridge) with hb eggs and Chinese sausage. Nice and soft. She also cooked pork shank for them but I got a soft piece. ❤️❤️

Good morning from the jungle. It's almost 9:30AM and AccuWeather says it's 89°F with 67% humility for a Real Jungle Feel of 107°. It's mostly sunny at the airport but we have more clouds here. Feeling much better today. Still very tired. Swelling is down and two ibuprofen overnight worked well.

Feeling much better tonight. I've had just three antibiotic tablets the size of horse pills but that has allowed the paracetamol to do it's light lifting on the pain of my toof. The iuprofen will be deployed for the heavier lifting of sleep time, tonight. Thank you to all of our Aid Angels. 🙏🏼❤️

Found something soft to eat. Thank the gods for Aid Angels. It's from the local bakery (there are a half dozen small franchise bakeries up and down any main drag in the Philippines). Cinnamon. And glazed. But they use a very bread-like base mix so it's not really like pastry. 16¢ a slice.

Five slices of a glazed cinnamon roll in a blue container. A little dry. But soft for me and my sore tooth and swollen jaw.

I’m housesitting a $2M house and every night I can watch the community of rats commute to and from the dumpster next to the school behind the house. It’s a private school so those rats are living very well on organic leftovers

100%! "We couldn't possible say the wall was painted blue unless someone with authority asserted that the wall was painted blue." Can't we even get a slightly stronger "appears to violate federal law"?

The pain was so bad last night. No ibuprofen and I was out of paracetamol after 6AM. After taking one 625mg at 6PM, I decided to take the co-amoxiclav on the 8-hour schedule, at least to start. So at 2AM I popped another. With that working, the pain backed off a hair and I slept for three hours.
