For those people who think that staying in the U.S. legally is so easy - absolutely not, there are many points at which the visa can be denied, and the process is getting worse because immigration services are getting dismantled.

From my own experience, the two things writers new to games struggle with are the affordances of the medium (e.g. requiring a character animation that would be way out of scope), and writing for a nonlinear experience (e.g. these conversations need to make sense in any order)

Writers, just tell your story. Don't worry if it's checking every box on some standard model of a perfect plot or hitting every point of the story diamond (please!). Write the story you want to tell the way you want to tell it. Use your own voice and your own words. It's your story!

Closing down a studio who’s just released a successful narrative game to invest on GenAI for games is a bad business and creative move. Netflix throws money at games because it has more than plenty, and then discards the work of talented people for no reason. 🤬 Big tech is wantonly destroying games.

If you’re in NYC, go see this gem. It features a wonderful Bernard Herrmann score that is key to the plot. The music was also an inspiration for Stephen Sondheim when he composed Sweeney Todd.
