It's a slog! But you've got this. Those first few weeks felt like living for aftercare, so take the time where you can for yourself. Random aside and maybe you've already got one, I'd recommend a wedge pillow, it really helped me for sleeping, dilating, and taking a bit of the edge off

It's gatekeeping, especially in unique scenarios. I (UK) lost my voice to severe acid reflux, entered speech therapy, then moved. Spoke to my new GP post move to see a nearby speech therapist, as advised by my previous one. GP responded that I 'didn't sound like I needed speech therapy' and refused.
