I really wish I wrote gifdex with a framework that had even basic prerendering because now I'm sat here making a proxy that adds opengraph tags instead of being able to do it in the markup :(

Why does Discord only animate an image if you add an extension like .webp UNLESS you are on mobile (at least iOS) where it will instead just animate it properly if it’s supported

💭 microblogging app that doesn't have any feeds, likes or following feed - there's just private follows, posts and replies. homepage would just show you the profile of people you privately follow sorted by most recent post time and you have to actively check their account to see what they're up to

Made some progress on releasing things today, I’ve been in really bad condition the last few months but I think I’m slowly getting into a liveable state to work again Wrist is still really bad but that needs physio or a prolonged break to heal, so I can’t do much about that with my career

I love my infra setup for my atproto appview stuff so much. I literally just nuked the entire machine to a stock image with zero backup of the data, ran 1 command locally and now everything is configured again and all the data has backfilled with zero data loss

this is potentially a spicy take but i think i'm way more excited at the thought of a scrappy open web where apps are coming up with niche/specific lexicons vs a heavily standardised one where custom lexicons are discouraged in favour of maximal interop 🧐
