1/ Russian sources expect that as well as purchasing Russian oil and diesel, Donald Trump will provide Russia with spare parts to repair the refineries damaged by Ukrainian drone strikes. They anticipate that Trump's fuel deal will lead to a Russian victory. ⬇️

The first Russian diesel cargo heading for the US left St Petersburg on September 22, two weeks *before* Trump announced the deal with Putin, Windward reports. The Greek-flagged tanker Minerva Zen carrying 275,000 barrels of diesel/gasoil is due at the US East Coast around 11–12 October.

Rishi Sunak did not believe in the Rwanda plan as Chancellor - its legality, its efficacy or its cost - though he made a deal with Braverman to pretend he did as PM. His argument for it now fails to put his 3rd option under the scrutiny of the other two www.thetimes.com/comment/colu...

Meanwhile USA is as much involved in Russia’s war on Ukraine civilians as Putin, he is threatening to withdraw Musk’s Starlink satellite support, which assists Ukraine protect its cities and troops. The ICC needs to issue a warrant for Trump’s arrest just as it has for Putin and Netanyahu.

It's really time that all the other sympathetic countries [obvs including the UK] stand up properly to the US and isolate it. Flattering him and humouring him isn't working, and it's preventing all the electorates from realising what is at stake and what it will cost to face up to the challenge.

So Trump despises UK (won’t let him use bases for war), Spain (ditto), Denmark (won’t hand over Greenland), Canada (reciprocal tariffs), and now Norway (Peace prize!): all are democracies and Nato allies of USA. Surely there is no chance USA can stay in Nato whilst this dictator lover is President?

Americans were paying an average of £2,500 a year for domestic energy in March, compared to about £1,700 for Britons. I know US homes are larger, but that's still a shocking amount. No wonder they're so sensitive to inflation. Figure from www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-p...

Trump promised to lower prices for Americans. Here's what the data shows.
Just weeks before the midterm elections, 90% of Americans say prices in the U.S. are the main factor shaping their view of the economy. These charts show why.

“Every CT bill in England is based on 1991 house values. Since 1995, house prices have risen x7 in Inner London but only x4 in the North East, for example. No one has bothered to update valuations. Homes where prices have raced ahead (like Hackney) are taxed on a small fraction of their real value”

When Council Tax was introduced, the bands were deliberately squashed together: a home in the top band was worth at least eight times as much as one in the bottom band, but its bill was at most three times bigger. So the system was regressive from day one.
