This will never stop blowing my mind. A 12-year sequence of real telescope images of a star 133 lightyears away. And around it, four planets slowly orbiting. Four real exoplanets, each more massive than Jupiter, imaged as they move around their host star.

Golden sunlight, with a touch of autumnal colours
Fabulous sunshine amongst trees. A touch of autumn is beginning to appear. Kind passers-by keep the shrubs on the left well-stocked with Razzle and Parade.

Happy October everyone.
A beautiful field in North Yorkshire, with a tree-lined valley below, and a wonderous sky above, bright blue and scattered with clouds. A gentle breeze. A buzzard was circling overhead. This corner of the field is vigorously explored by the local community of doggers.

The US babyboomers are at retirement, and the US has no way to care for them. The costs will be staggering as-is, the health system is collapsing/shifting due to ACA undoing, and there is *no* social safety net (couple states do have something). Horror awaits. 5.6% rates is icing on the cake.

Lincoln Cathedral Chapter House. Bonkers. Lost wisdom how to build something like this.
Medieval chippy's (carpenters) like mushrooms. This is the only explanation for an amazing array of oak timber holding up the Chapter House roof. Go, see for yourself. But not on mushrooms.

Just a guess, but I suspect the general usage of Facebook in Piddington is higher than the national average. Facebook remains a primary conduit for radicalisation. Government(s) don't take the risk from social media seriously (they still post on X!). Direct tax social media at point of use!

I support the UK having a process to legal right to arrange ones future passing. I think it needs to be for defined circumstances, and subject to multiple Doctor's oversight. Some people face a future they do not want, but have no choice. Hopefully a pathway can be found.

From 2019, when the news was telling us that staring seagulls out had been proven to stop them eating your chips
[Scene is a BEACH. A man is sat eating chips on a blanket - or rather he is trying to, but a terrifying, haunted-eyed SEAGULL is stood next to him, staring intently]

SEAGULL:

Well well well.

You must be one of these ‘Starers’.

[Show man trying to stare the seagull out]

SEAGULL:

Read an article in the Guardian did ya? ‘Stare seagulls out to save your chips’...

Come on then.
Look into my eyes.

[We see his cold, terrifying, haunted eyes in close up]

Can you see the darkness?
The things I’ve seen?

[Hypnotic waves are coming out of his eyes now]

The things I’ve... eaten...?

Frozen shit from a sewage pipe off the coast of Sussex…
The still-pulsing intestines from a badger by the A602…

Thaaat’s it

Look into the truth

The truth you’ve always known.

I am a seagull.

I am harder than you.

And I am having your chips.

11 [The man’s facade breaks, His eyes water, his lips wobble]

SEAGULL [Eating chips]:

Nom nom nom.
