Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve been ousting THE LORD from our nat’l anthem for decades. God does not keep our land glorious and free; we do. Ergo I sing “we’ll keep this land glorious and free”. I also sing “our home on Native land”, because it is.

So far, the province has saddled Regina w/ a stadium that's eaten up our discretionary recreation-facility money, a bypass that shunts traffic AWAY from our city, & a GTH that poaches retailers & office tenants. Their "investments" in Regina seem more like cursed monkey paws. #yqrcc

Disabled people who can work are worthy. Disabled people who cannot work are worthy. Disabled people who are completely independent are worthy. Disabled people who rely on others for assistance are worthy. ALL disabled people are worthy.

Wow this has been mind blowing but when I had a garage sale last summer I had 3 people ask if they could make offers on my house. One even emailed me today to check if I’d decided to sell. I don’t know, is regina still teeming with buyers? This is wild I thought it would surely slow down by now

So now the US has imposed punitive measures against Canada for the US’s failure to stop this vast fentanyl trafficking at the border. That’s like putting survivors of domestic violence in jail because you can’t stop their partner from beating the shit out of them. But let’s take this further.

This budget is actually a reduction from the current year forecast so don’t let anyone tel you this confederacy of dunces is capable of governing anymore. Or if telling the truth. Or of morals or ethics or basic human decency.

Sure. But I’d say what gives us public safety isn’t just the RPS. Hear me out, but it’s the new transit map. This change would increase people’s access to food, affordable housing, access to childcare & access to work. & the new map would cut road traffic in areas like downtown considerably

We need to demand that Google add a direct toggle that allows users to switch off the use of AI before we do a search. I want to look at resources posted on the web, I do NOT want AI to be a part of every search. It's freaking wasteful.

Every time this happens, I am reminded of all of my friends who were sued for making even passive comments in support of sexual assault survivors. And yet, people are straight up calling Drake a pedophile and being applauded for it. I'm not mad at the heat he's getting! Just find it... telling.

Why am I so afraid to write a book review? Are writers going to read my book review, roll their eyes and say your book review deserves zero stars? Am I scared my impression of a book is incorrect, or that it gives away that I lack full comprehension? Why am I so deeply overthinking this

How the eff do you end a play!!! I started writing this script by telling my own story. Then a fantastic playwright suggested I step back, create a fictional character to place her in a similar position and it has freed me to make such progress, but now I cant find an ending.

I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had. * RIP David Lynch
People might bring up Vincent van Gogh as an example of a painter who did great work in spite of, or because of, his suffering. I like to think that van Gogh would have been even more prolific and even greater if he wasn't so restricted by the things tormenting him. I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.

libraries are awesome in many ways but not the least in part bc of how you get to see your toddler nab titles like these
the book “zombie in love” by Kate DiPucchio. The cover has a flannel-wearing zombie cartoon holding out a heart and grinning.

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people. Good trade.

Coming to bluesky reminds me of that time I swore I would never date again. I guess we’ll see if I can muster the energy to find ppl to follow from scratch. Im a Crip poet/playwright/performer, also a disabled entrepreneur & activist. Most days, I’m tired.
