1. So, at the Worldcon this year there was a person who was going from panel to panel, bothering panelists by trying to get them to "collaborate" with them on a project and sliding the proposed project to them on a piece of paper. Folks, I cannot stress to you how obnoxious this sort of thing is.

I became aware of this after the event and it's a dark spot on an otherwise bright evening. The ramp up to the stage accommodated wheelchairs but the ramp backstage apparently did not. I hope future worldcons make the effort to make every part of the Hugo ceremony accessible to everyone involved.

Sorry. Just read this poem in Paloma Magazine. Recovery, by Lee Suksi. This poem caught me the way I catch fruit flies by clapping my hands. The first line!!!! I am agitated (reverent)!!!!!

Rainbows dive bomb the earth,
jasmine sticks out its tongues,
milk soaks into the soil,

I'm reading two novels right now. Each has at least one sex scene. Awesome. Not to wade into sex-scene discourse online (not awesome), but reading these novels is reminding me that my favorite sex scenes are the ones that remember that, at least for humans, sex still happens in the body.
