You really don’t get it, do you? There aren’t unions just floating around. Most of them were gutted over the last 30 years. If I wanted to create one where I work, I’d prob get fired, and then my whole family would have no health insurance. If one of us got sick, we’d have to file for bankruptcy.

You assume we haven’t done that already? Get off your high horse. Judge the American govt all you want. But don’t judge the majority of American people who think this is insane and are doing everything they can while teetering on the brink financially and emotionally. Blame the system, not us.

What is the abuse victim is telling you they’re abused and you’re not listening? Sounds like gaslighting to me.

Is this how you treat all the abused folks in your life? By telling them to work harder? SMH.

That’s like blaming an abused person for the actions of an abuser. I get it that Europe is sick of this, but so are we. Far sicker than you can imagine because this is our lived reality every single day. In Europe at least you can mentally escape knowing you have a social safety net.

Palantir CTO, Shyam Sankar, claims AI researchers are taking up smoking to prove how much they believe AI will cure cancer and he calls it a “mass psychosis.” AI psychosis is an under-diagnosed ailment making it through Silicon Valley as we speak.

This is slightly out of my normal lane, and I could charge six (hell maybe seven) figure to deliver this message as a consultant, but I’m gonna do it for free. Because I’m ✨enraged✨ People in the think tank/policy/inside the beltway DC world have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE how mad people are abt Cornell. 🧵

What’s really wild is - I used to work at nike, of which converse is a subsidiary and they (at least they used to) have a HUGE DEI team. It is nuts to me this didn’t get flagged before publication. Or, they cut their DEI team so significantly this got though. Either way it’s sickening.

Can learning to form healthy bonds reduce psychopathic behaviors?
While early abuse is a known risk factor for psychopathy, the psychological pathways connecting the two remain murky. New research suggests that an avoidant attachment style acts as a bridge, linking traumatic childhoods to cold, antisocial behaviors in adulthood.

Authoritarianism acts as a psychological bridge for dark personalities, study finds
People with antagonistic and selfish traits often express their hostility through rigid, authoritarian political beliefs. A new psychological study suggests that strict adherence to rules provides a socially acceptable way for these individuals to assert control over others.

The quality of your sleep appears to shape your political behavior
Quality sleep provides the energy necessary to engage in democracy. A new study finds that while rested citizens are more likely to vote, those struggling with sleep disruptions often channel their frustrations into boycotts and protests instead.

94% of customer service leaders expect to reduce human support agents due to AI usage. However 85% are reallocating agent capacity toward higher-value responsibilities that support customer growth, loyalty and long-term efficiency. This is in stark contrast to layoffs in tech due to AI adoption.

AI isn’t causing human CX agent layoffs, Gartner finds
Most businesses use AI to backfill capacity as agents leave, while one-third are cutting staff because of AI.

Dudes. As a society we taught young women to walk with keys between their fingers in dark parking lots and to carry pepper spray in their purse. So yes. I’m asking you to be responsible for the actions of other men. After all, that’s what you’ve asked of women for centuries. It’s your turn.

I paid my therapist a zillion dollars to tell me this, so I’m passing it on to anyone else in MN who needs to hear it: Think of taking time away to recharge not as not doing the work, but as doing quality control for the work. You’re not going to be able to show up to do it well if you’re depleted
