I discovered something interesting while on vacation in Toledo, Spain. Book title: "Hispanic Jewish surnames" (or Sephardic, for context). Some time ago, I stumbled upon some 'Ashkenazi' ancestry at my 23&Me results. I wondered how represented Sephardics are in that sample.

Our paper is out! We discovered an introgression from dogs into Iberian wolves (IBGW) that may influence key behavioral genes. Hypotheses: 1. Dogs arrived ca. 17-12kyr ago to Iberia. Did they mix? 2. Wolves suffered a bottleneck in 1970s. Did they mix? 3. Local adaptations? 🧵
