I’m glad someone with an audience noticed this too, I’ve been saying it for years.

It’s striking how replacing the singles changes the entire audio design of the entire album. If anything, a lot of the album tracks are underproduced. Also, I actually like the Kenny Chesney cover of “One Step Up,” but it didn’t solve the problem I was working on.
