Dear Jeanette and Ross Andru - listenup!
Regardless of how ineptly your recent recreation of Wildcat turned out, I still believe the character (as best portrayed by Irwin Hassan, almost 40 yrs ago ) deserves proper rendition - and if not a steady series (which might do it in), then certainly as a sometimes thing - with the humorous slant that Bill Finger wrote into those early stories (via 'Stretch' the comic relief sidekick, or without!) - point being to just have FUN with the strip! A true cartoon!
The heavy handed, grim, bone crunching stuff won't apply here - a light and looser touch will! If you two ever care to take another chance on 'Wildcat' as a seldomly-run strip (a fillip [Ed-unsure on word, filler maybe?], or dessert) in contrast to your more dramatic fair - holler!
Worth trying once more - I'll script, letter the job - without egocentric editorial meddling from some (unknown to me at this juncture) editir/writer - it ought to WORK!
