I think people believe the point of progressive politics is to try to convince malicious, bad-faith bigots to not be violent, instead of defanging their movements and making them politically irrelevant. It's not about "saving the souls of the lost". It's about making sure their harm is mitigated.

And you know what the talking heads seem to rarely use 'violent' to describe? The systemic destruction of families through ICE detentions and deportations. Breaking a window is framed *primarily* as violence, but taking a grandparent away from their kids or sending someone to a work camp isn't.

We're hurting on money and could use help making sure we have enough for basic necessities and bills. We're all caught up with rent for this month, but next month might be difficult and our monthly earnings have still been struggling. On top of that, summer isn't far away and my partner has a much harder time finding work during the summer. Our energy costs are also likely to go up during the hot months. I'm worried about being able to make it through.

About $1000 should be plenty to make sure we can pay next month, buy food/medicine/gas, and save a little from this month's earnings to help buffer for the summer.

They should just let the verified domains give people a little badge that they're associated to that site. That way the site/org only has to do domain verification once and then pass that verification to others.
