the difference between this season of dimension 20 and many of the ones that came before it is that those previous seasons used combat to tell a story, whereas this season, it feels like the combat IS the story... and I find it boring as hell

A friend has Covid right now. They have lost their sense of smell and they're having cognitive problems. This hit me today, as it often does: we made, and continue to make, a huge collective mistake in allowing a virus that impacts the brain to transmit unmitigated globally.

My first story on the health beat is about the law that keeps 90% of Ontario's healthcare workers from being able to take strike action. It's being challenged by the Ontario Nurses' Association, but in the meantime, unions like CUPE say employers rely on the law to avoid bargaining in good faith.
