Set in 2027, which is a little on the nose.
Children of Men is a 2006 dystopian action thriller film directed and co-written by Alfonso Cuarón. The screenplay, based on P. D. James' 1992 novel The Children of Men, was credited to five writers, with Clive Owen making additional, uncredited contributions. The film is set in 2027, when two decades of human infertility have left human civilisation on the brink of collapse

... Hamilton had brought her kid to work, identified the problem, and then advocated strongly to close the potentially dangerous loophole, was proven right by Lovell's oopsie, and then Finished.The. Job. So cool. I love the stories around the 1202 alarm, so many heroes. Like Hamilton.

The alarm goes off like 75 more times, but the flight continues because the computer is still humming along. Because Hamilton had made that program *bomb-proof* Gosling nails the landing, but only because...

So the bosses are like "You heard Tom Hanks, go fix that Hamilton." So she did. Fast forward to Apollo 11, Armstrong is guiding Eagle down to the moon. Stuffs going smooth when outta nowhere the computer starts freaking out a "1202 Alarm." But. The Eagle keeps flying, computer still running.

Bosses are like "Nope, our pilots are highly trained dudes who don't press random buttons, we're all good." Hamilton is like ok.... And then Jim Lovell (pre-Apollo 13) presses That. Exact. Button. Crashes the computer. After he lands, Lovell is like "WTF we *knew* about this?!"

It's running a simulation of a landing, and the daughter pushes a random button, and *kaput* the program crashes. Hamilton is like "WHAT JUST HAPPENED." Computer didn't like that very random input. She goes up to her bosses and is like um, we better fix this.

... she has to go in to work, but husband/family/neighbors, *nobody* can take care of her daughter that day. So it was bring-your-daughter-to-work-day before it was cool. And like any good parent, she sits her girl down with a screen to keep busy. Except it's an Apollo computer.

I LOVE how @propublica.org dealt with official comment here, editorially and stylistically.
The Trump administration says none of this is happening.

"DHS is NOT arresting U.S. citizens by mistake." "There are no 'indiscriminate' stops." Allegations of "racial profiling are disgusting, reckless and categorically FALSE." "The pattern is NOT of law enforcement using force." "ICE does not zip tie or restrain children."

But that is precisely what is happening, and at a far larger scale than previously reported.

Hasn't stopped them from speeding like demons on rt 95, so f' em.
shows the fuel economy by speed for cars. The graph in this figure indicates that there would be a decrease in fuel economy when the speed drops below 55 mph. Based on previous studies, 60 20 miles per hour is typically used as the upper bound of travel speed in severe congestion. Therefore, the value of 20 mph is chosen to calculate the rate of fuel consumption in congestion due to incidents. Using this value, fuel consumption is assumed to be 0.03875 gallons of gasoline per mile for cars and 0.1429 gallons of diesel per mile for trucks
