Greens wins for renters - learn your new rights

Renting bidding banned
A real estate agent or landlord can't ask for or accept more than the advertised amount. You'll no longer have to unfairly compete for a rental.

Ended no grounds evictions
You can't get kicked out for no reason. Your landlord now has to provide a proper reason to ask you to leave no matter what lease you're on.

Extended notices to vacate
Now a landlord has to give you 90 days (up from 60) to move out or to raise your rent.

Banned hidden fees & privacy invasions
Real estate agents can't charge you fees to pay rent or to get a background check, and they can't ask you private questions just to apply for a rental.
