Agents approached the man at about 9 p.m. near Washtenaw Avenue and Pittsfield Boulevard, according to the affidavit. Authorities allege he ran from the agents, tripped over a curb and struck his face on the pavement.

During a June 18 interview with hospital investigators, Freeman admitted allowing the man to leave, the FBI affidavit alleges.
According to the government's account of the interview, Freeman said she knew the patient was in immigration custody but did not believe he remained in custody at that moment because immigration agents were not physically present with him in the CT room.

Adam Hoffman was convicted of raping his friend's young son. He should be in jail, but Paxton used his power to get him on a misdemeanor. That means he only served for 60 days, didn't have to register as a sex offender in Texas, and then left the state.

Hate isn’t funny but the absurdity of certain outrage over a Hanuman statue made me laugh. 1. Racist flipped out b/c FALSE IDOL. (Umm, What is Donald Trump?) 2. Racist freaked out over certain Pagan/Hindu similarities. (Easter Bunny, Holy Water, Ankh, Chalice, Sun-day, Tree, etc.)

A defining moment for Hindus came when the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land built a 90-foot statue of Lord Hanuman, a superhero deity worshipped for his strength, selflessness and courage. He belongs to the Vanara - shape-shifting beings in Hindu mythology with monkey-like features.

The Hindu community saw it as a symbol of their rootedness in their new homeland.
Conservative Christians and politicians protested what they consider a FALSE GOD. Vandals began to damage the temple, which had to hire 24-hour security.

My husband graduated from UNT & our colleges are what made our small town a blue dot in a sea of red. It’s partially why we chose to settle here. UNT received an F. Paxton launched a DEI compliance investigation in April & has repeatedly targeted our city w /lawsuits. Authoritarian blueprint.

Like my brother & I, my niece & nephew attend Kumon. Niece is a creative & she hates it. I hated it too. What I got out of it was a version of learning that was compartmentalized & as a person w/ADHD, it translated elsewhere. It’s not just math, it’s logic & problem solving skills. It matters.

I grew up in Austin & went to Texas Women’s University w/women’s studies as a required prerequisite. It’s one of the best classes I ever attended & my professor encouraged me to change my major. My major was psych under which psych of gender was a required (and beneficial) course. Fucking TX.

When Trump backed Paxton, I simultaneously felt panic & relief. My husband said “They’re not going to flip b/c he’s a criminal” & he’s right. But there are other factors. TX is a big state but many of us who were raised here are 2 degrees. And if you’re a Rep who’s had to deal w/him, it’s personal.

2 weeks. I’ve spent 2 weeks trying to get a prior authorization facilitated & it turns out, the staff member has been sending it back to my pharmacy vs. my insurance. And she wasn’t receiving faxes for 1.5 of those 2 weeks. Kept saying she wasn’t receiving anything & just needed to flip a switch. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Funny personal story. I thought I was 5’5 until last Christmas. Consequently my husband believed he was an inch taller as well. Picked up my naturalization papers & I’m 5’4. My brother measured me. I figured Tina Turner was like 6 feet tall w/those legs but she was my height. Crazy.
