Shot in the dark. Looking for a reasonable or reasonable or willing to trade DFW based seamstress. I ordered the skirt on the left (Pic 1) for Diwali. I received the one on the right. I’m wondering if someone could make me a wrap skirt w/material from pics 2-4 & if so, how much that would cost?

Rufo's "Indian Q" concerns whether Indian-Am’s are sufficiently assimilated to Am culture, or whether they must be (forcibly) "remigrated" back to India. *Remigration is ethnic cleansing. *I’m from the UK, not India. Paternally, my GG Grandpa was the last. Like many, we’re diaspora Indians.

Christopher Rufo, longtime right-wing agitator, recently recorded a podcast in which he discussed “the Indian Question" an explicit nod to "the Jewish Question" that so animated Adolf Hitler.

Rufo's "Indian Question" concerns whether Indian-Americans are sufficiently assimilated to American culture, or whether they must be (forcibly) "remigrated" back to India. Rufo's reflections were prompted by a viral Bo French tweet, in which he expresses shock and horror at South Asians enjoying college football at UT Austin.

During a June 18 interview with hospital investigators, Freeman admitted allowing the man to leave, the FBI affidavit alleges.
According to the government's account of the interview, Freeman said she knew the patient was in immigration custody but did not believe he remained in custody at that moment because immigration agents were not physically present with him in the CT room.

Hate isn’t funny but the absurdity of certain outrage over a Hanuman statue made me laugh. 1. Racist flipped out b/c FALSE IDOL. (Umm, What is Donald Trump?) 2. Racist freaked out over certain Pagan/Hindu similarities. (Easter Bunny, Holy Water, Ankh, Chalice, Sun-day, Tree, etc.)

A defining moment for Hindus came when the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land built a 90-foot statue of Lord Hanuman, a superhero deity worshipped for his strength, selflessness and courage. He belongs to the Vanara - shape-shifting beings in Hindu mythology with monkey-like features.

The Hindu community saw it as a symbol of their rootedness in their new homeland.
Conservative Christians and politicians protested what they consider a FALSE GOD. Vandals began to damage the temple, which had to hire 24-hour security.

2nd from left is my grandpa. 1950’s Nepal research trip/Himalayan trek. He studied env science then later, civil engineering. Worked w/the WMO. His 1973 doctoral thesis was infrastructure & water preservation in the Blackfoot River Basin. Images of a hydroelectric dam made me think of him.

Prev “statement” doesn’t exactly align w/needing 2 FULL MONTHS w/on site medical treatment. A simple video with the devices we all carry around would’ve crushed the rumors but nope! And not 1 reporter witnessed his release? Sure. Why not. There’s so much more but this is enough. It’s ridiculous.

Apparently Trump thought the munitions shortage “had been fixed” by Idk what, magic? Article also mentions Hegseth blaming Biden which is bs but even IF this were true, it would mean they failed to conduct basic inventory checks prior to a war of choice. Just astounding incompetence all around.

The encounter took place on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Friday where Trump vented at Hegseth that he thought the munitions issue “had been fixed,” according to both persons familiar with the conversation, who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity due to fear of retaliation.

Oh, he’s definitely 40 & a cautionary tale in how chronic hostility speeds up cellular aging & begins doing so early. He was a hateful little bigot back then too. Apparently flipped out every time he overheard a kid speaking Spanish & threw a fit over their schools Cinco de Mayo festival. In CA.

Most of the students avoided arguments with Miller. Even though many thought he was quick and smart, they also saw him as incapable of calm dialogue. In private, they often made fun of him. His eccentricities were so notorious that The Samohi published of satire of his rants,

This SUCKS. Yesterday it was so bad, my horrible day was almost comical. I was driving & had a delivery w/a store initiated return. Waited in the pick up area forever b/c a code issue. There was a v loud POP. Soda can that was part of the return. 🤦🏾‍♀️ 45 min later I drove home & got sick.

I’ve been dog sitting for a friend w/the sweetest pit bull dog. Brought him to my place & wasn’t sure how he would react to the cottontail rabbits who visit nightly. My boxer dog who passed was harmless but would chase them out of his yard. Titus quietly took a few steps & laid down to watch 2.

One of my favorite things about my home is that it’s located within walking distance of 3 parks. Across the main street from my neighborhood is a dog park with trails leading into a large city park. These are from my walk yesterday evening. Sunflowers everywhere. 🌻

I totally get it. It was the Texas Public Opinion Research Poll from 5/29. Just FYI in case you want to fact check. I view this as promising but it’s Texas so we still need to work our asses off.

Almost a third of Cornyn runoff voters say that they would vote for Talarico over Paxton in November.

Among voters who supported John Cornyn in the Republican Senate runoff, only 44% say they now plan to vote for Ken Paxton in the general election. 30% say they would vote for Talarico and 23% are either undecided or would not vote in the race.
