I still say if you must do a reboot of Escape from New York you flip it. Manhattan is fully a gated community for the rich now. Someone hires a mercenary to spirit away a relative from an abusive partner. And the chase is on to survive the night against several private security details.

Mattel hated Masters of the Universe (1987) so much, they pulled the plug on a sequel. But since Cannon already had all of the sets, locations, and costumes ready to go, they had to do something. So they made Cyborg with Jean Claude Van Damme. The bad guy is even wearing Blade's chainmail shirt.

38 days until the new MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE movie! But more than that, today is officially "Masters of the Universe Day". It was declared in 1987 in Los Angeles to celebrate the Power Tour, an absolutely batshit live theatrical experience I wish I could've seen.
