St. Pete is doing a lot of great stuff for bikes in its downtown. Bike parking and wayfinding everywhere. Lots of dockless bikes and scooters. Some truly excellent protected bike lanes, especially along what makes up the downtown section of the Pinellas Trail. Green shoots everywhere you look.

Do y'all remember when air quality in LA got like 1940's good in the early months of the pandemic when no one was driving? That is what Twitter is like today after Ukraine bombed Russian data centers and all the MAGA bots stopped posting. The army that Musk and Trump depend on is on medical leave.

Right, it turns out that instead of letting the Republicans set the terms of the debate, you can simply tell them and their enablers in the media to cram it. El-Sayed has been doing the same thing. It's long overdue.

The American Dream—buying a house in the suburbs and watching it increase in value to the point where subsequent generations need to move farther and farther out to obtain the same thing at a comparable price, but with an even more soul-crushing commute—was always a Ponzi scheme.

ICE is a completely unsalvageable organization. To the extent that we need a police agency to enforce immigration laws, it should be reconstituted from scratch under the Department of Justice. Everyone employed at ICE needs to be summarily fired on Day 1 on a new Democratic administration.

We rightly worry most about the core electoral machinery and that's holding up pretty well, but any election under Trump is still something less than free and fair. Even if it's not enough to flip the outcome, state resources and power are unambiguously being abused to favor the incumbent party.
