These clowns want to cede the most important decisions in comics storytelling to a fucking bot. And you know this would lead to further underpayment of artists. Boycott any book or publisher that uses this.

Walk me through what the platform actually does.

You put in a manuscript. The system spends time studying the story, including the thesis, the background, the protagonist, and the emotional beats that pay off for a reader, and produces a storyboard that gets you to roughly 60–70% of a finished product. Then an editor, the author, and an illustrator go in and shape that further, because a purely AI-generated output tends to lack soul and be generic. This is not a self-driving car. It's more like handing a Ferrari to someone who already knows how to drive.

Getting Better From An Eating Disorder: Autistic Trans/Nonbinary Voices

Who can take part? Autistic and trans/nonbinary adults, based in the UK, who have had an eating disorder in the past.

What would taking part involve? You would fill in an online survey (mainly with free-text boxes) about your experiences of getting better from an eating disorder and your opinions on the word ‘recovery’ as applied to eating disorders. The survey should take about 30 – 45 minutes. You can choose to enter a prize draw, with winners getting £50 or £100.

This study has been designed and led by an Autistic trans researcher and a Lived Experience Advisory Group. It has ethical approval from the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh. If you have any questions, you can contact the lead researcher, Luka White, at L.C.J.White@sms.ed.ac.uk
