I was cutting backing cards so that I can have a better self-serve display for Matsuricon. I just figured out that my isopod charm earrings can fit on the smaller backing cards. The smaller backing cards are much easier to display, so I’m pleased! #enamelpins #isopod #earrings

A photograph of two pairs of to isopod earrings. These earrings are made from plated metal, hard enamel, and have stainless steel hooks. The color of this pair of earrings is white with shades of brown, mimicking the cappuccino isopod morph. The backing card on the left is business card sized and the backing card on the right is large larger.

I’m working on some axolotl dragon pin designs for an upcoming campaign. I wanted to base the colors on real axolotl color morphs. So far I have a golden albino, leucistic, and lavender colors. I think I’m going to make the laying pose be axanthic. #axolotl #illustration

3 finished and 1 unfinished fantastical axolotl creatures in the clip studio paint interface. They are displaying colors similar to those of a golden albino axolotl, leucistic axolotl, and axanthic copper melanoid axolotl.

The finished designs for the Dragon Tide pins. I prefer sketching physically as it's a bit more comfortable for me. I brought this drawing into Photoshop to ink it, and drew the water shaping digitally so that I could more easily tweak it as I went. #dragonart #enamelpin #pintopia

A series of enamel pin designs featuring an eastern dragon with silver metal. The dragon is in shades of blue and has water swirling behind it. It is clutching a pearl. There are also mini pin designs showing water swirling around a claw and water swirling around a slit pupil eye.

A pencil sketch in red colored pencil of a long, serpentine eastern style dragon holding a pearl. It is furry and has long whiskers and antler horns.

I realized that I never posted the finished designs for the Backer’s Choice stretch goals from my Elemental Myth Backerkit campaign that ran in February. For the white and red design, I am using rose gold colored plating on the metal. I’ve never used this color before! #kitsune #enamelpin

Here are the drawings for the Backer’s Choice stretch goal for my enamel pin campaign on Backerkit. The top voted theme was Kitsune with Foxfire. I will be finishing the final artwork this weekend. As with the Wyvern Wind and Phoenix Fire collections, there will be two color variations for this set.

A few of the pin collections from my Pintopia Backerkit Campaign. I decided to have the molds do double-duty and make some jewelry from them as well! I did this during the Isopod colony campaign and got pretty handy around a jump ring! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/s...

The phoenix fire pin collection’s digital mock-ups. These pins are made from hard enamel with gold-colored plating, UV spot color, and a gradient sandblast effect in the flames.

The blacklight phoenix pin collection’s digital mock-ups. These pins are made from hard enamel with black-nickel-colored plating, UV spot color, and a gradient sandblast effect in the flames.

The Wyvern Wind pin collection’s digital mock-ups. These pins are made from hard enamel with black-nickel-colored plating, and UV spot color.

The NightSky Wyvern pin collection’s digital mock-ups. These pins are made from hard enamel with gold-colored plating, UV spot color, and rainbow glitter scatter suspended in transparent enamel above the dark purple base.

I'll be participating in Pintopia 2026 over on Backerkit! I'm creating enamel pins that feature mythological creatures and elements! Pintopia begins January 22, but if you want to follow my project early, the launch party will have updates as I create new designs: tinyurl.com/elementalmyth

The overlaid text reads: Elemental Myth: Enamel pins and jewelry. There are phoenix fire and wyvern wind pin designs showing the mythological creatures being framed by elemental energy.

The Isopod Colony Backerkit campaign had most of its items arrive earlier than expected. I’ve begun shipping out items for early fulfillment. Packaging and packing all of these goodies is stupidly satisfying. I hope that everyone enjoys their isopod goodies!

The Isopod Colony Backerkit campaign will be ending soon. This week we unlocked new stretch goals; in addition to being able to produce the isopod leaf pins & jewelry, the star candy isopod pins & blind bags, we’ve unlocked a series of mini pins. #isopod #enamelpins #backerkit

I recently learned that Clip Studio can save a timelapse of your process, so I thought I’d try making some short videos. I admit that I’m still a creature of the 2000’s, and prefer still images with long blog posts and giant, threaded conversations. But this was still fun to do. #isopod #enamelpins

I’m working on additional isopod enamel pin designs. To get the most out of each mold, I’d like to do one color variant per design I have personal favorite isopod morphs, but I’m also curious if there are any specific species or color morphs people would like to see included? #isopods #enamelpins

I'm creating an enamel pin to learn the process and work with a manufacturer. I wanted to do 2 variants. I'm stuck on the night variant. The pin will be hard enamel with gold metal. Do you think it looks better with pale gold glitter enamel wings, or with the white enamel wings and spot color?

Pin designs of a dragon with swirls of clouds, or air behind it. The artist is asking whether people prefer the night version with or without glitter enamel wings, and this is the example image to show what both might look like.

Some isopod studies from reference. I wanted to get some practice in before attempting to make some isopod pins. Fun fact: Terrestrial isopods have 7 main scutes (plates) before their little butt plates start. Colerase pencil and marker. #isopod #artstudy

I applied to the Galaxycon Columbus 2025 artist alley and was accepted! This will be my first time vending at a con since 2010. The convention is in December. Time to make some trinkets!

In November of 2024 Flight Rising released the Everlux dragon breed. Designing a new dragon for Flight Rising is always an interesting challenge. #flightrising #dragon I’ve included what images I could, but due to text limitations the full blog post is at www.strangelittlecreatures.com?p=44
