Progress is being made though. They had to completely rebuild my floor but I am now free of ominous creaks [and so is the floor etc ha ha]…

Bathroom renovations under way. Wooden battens now affixed to walls ready for plasterboard. While still no true right angles we are now much more rectangle adjacent!

I’m on leftover chicken massaman curry from a few days ago but I have treated myself to some Parkin to have for afters. Tried to get ahead with the cooking as my routine very disrupted by having men in to do the bathroom renovation!

Bathroom fitter has different apprentice with him today who has just had to be inducted into the mysteries of my odd shaped house. Lots of explanations of angles and where they will have to square off!!

It’s cleverly squeezed in between 2 rooms and above the ginnel so a very weird shape yes! And the gable end of my house follows old field boundary so the house widens towards the back - trapezoidal! One of the jobs is an extra bit of stud wall to square off the shower end.

Went for my flu jab (I get a free one due to an underlying health condition) at the surgery. They were running a special clinic so very high throughput. I did bring the average age in the waiting room down quite substantially though!! 😅

A long few days at work with a somewhat late finish at the office tonight plus train journey home so took myself out for my tea and had an epic chicken pie!
