BBC Fact Check here 🤓 this is Impossible: it took me the best part of a day to plant a tree in my garden. At best one man could plant two trees a day. In three years, given weekends and holidays this means we could only plant around 315 trees.

I think the Unabomber film on Netflix probably has a few issues. The one I can't get last is that Shailene Woodley and Alexander Ludwig look a bit like 2 people from the mid 2010s transported back in time to 1995. Everyone else is styled plausible-ish 90s in those bits but they aren't.

Hey, it's my first week as the PSNI 's Head of Threat Assessment. Now to take a big sip of coffee and check the news...
Excerpt from RTE News article on Orange Order March down Garvaghy road.
"The commission says it carefully considered those representations, but it seems the input from the PSNI was significant in their decision-making.

"The police have stated ... that they have no information indicating that the parade will result in public disorder or damage to property if it proceeds along its notified route."

"we can't rush the national care service" 🤔
Wikipedia screen grab:

2010 England proposal and repeal

A "National Care Service" was first proposed in the later stages of Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Labour government.

The Department of Health under Andy Burnham released its green paper Shaping the Future of Care Together in July 2009, which proposed a new National Care Service in England "on par with the NHS". This was followed by a public consultation in September called the "Big Care Debate", which was promoted by Brown as a "crucial national debate". The consultation found a public desire for social care reform and explored different ways to introduce the NCS in England. The government decided to introduce the NCS gradually and in different stages, with the first stage beginning with the Personal Care at Home Act 2010

I might become a betting man 11/4 for 2027 general election is a good price. 6 months for Burnham to spontaneously combust feels about right.
Oddschecker for a UK general election.

Years and odds are:

2029 - 4 to 5

2027 - 11 to 4

2028 - 11 to 2

2026 - 18 to 1

The bus stops and assorted odd small buildings in Stalker 2 are quite beautiful. Google tells me the style is called Soviet-era monumental mosaic art, which makes sense I guess
The mentioned art style. A mosaic across a tired old set of three walls featuring stylized trees. The main wall has a deer head bent down eating. The walls left and right have a bird each in their respective trees.

Strong dramaticightimg casts a shadow that cuts straight across perhapps half the room

The roof is dilapidated wood beams and corrugated iron, there is dirt and debris throughout.

You know that saying about how the way they treat asylum seekers is the way they’d treat everyone else if they thought they could get away with it? Well,
The Tories said the reduced subsistence allowance would be loaded onto pre-paid card that would not allow cash withdrawals, and would "prevent spending" on alcohol, cigarettes, or gambling.
The party is yet to detail how its proposal would work, but shadow welfare secretary Helen Whately said it would be "a version" of the pre-paid Aspen card issued to asylum seekers living in government-funded accommodation.
These cards cannot be used to make contactless, telephone or internet payments, whilst asylum seekers whose applications have failed cannot withdraw cash.
