?? [Bono on Ed Sheeran in Rolling Stone]
A screen grab from the interview, reads:

But elaborating further, Bono revealed how Ed had been reluctant to explore politics when the pair collaborated on ‘Yours Eternally’, taken from the band’s Days of Ash EP. The song also features Ukrainian rocker Taras Topalia and is written from the perspective of a Ukrainian soldier during the ongoing war with Russia.

"we can't rush the national care service" 🤔
Wikipedia screen grab:

2010 England proposal and repeal

A "National Care Service" was first proposed in the later stages of Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Labour government.

The Department of Health under Andy Burnham released its green paper Shaping the Future of Care Together in July 2009, which proposed a new National Care Service in England "on par with the NHS". This was followed by a public consultation in September called the "Big Care Debate", which was promoted by Brown as a "crucial national debate". The consultation found a public desire for social care reform and explored different ways to introduce the NCS in England. The government decided to introduce the NCS gradually and in different stages, with the first stage beginning with the Personal Care at Home Act 2010

The bus stops and assorted odd small buildings in Stalker 2 are quite beautiful. Google tells me the style is called Soviet-era monumental mosaic art, which makes sense I guess
The mentioned art style. A mosaic across a tired old set of three walls featuring stylized trees. The main wall has a deer head bent down eating. The walls left and right have a bird each in their respective trees.

Strong dramaticightimg casts a shadow that cuts straight across perhapps half the room

The roof is dilapidated wood beams and corrugated iron, there is dirt and debris throughout.

If you say we haven't seen these scenes on British streets... we're talking about them now because they're happening now. If Burnham means aside from now, we've recently had mobs set fire to migrant accommodation, we've had national front and blackshirts marches, to name a few.
"In fact, these are scenes we have not seen on British streets. Immigration needs to be deal with, I will be the first to say that and we are dealing with it. The boat crossings have been halved since six years ago, net migration is down massively.

Stalker (1979 film)

Stalker (Russian: Сталкер, IPA: [ˈstaɫkʲɪr]) is a 1979 Soviet science fantasy film directed by Andrei Tarkovsky with a screenplay written by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, loosely based on their 1972 novel Roadside Picnic. The film tells the story of an expedition led by a figure known as the "Stalker" (Alexander Kaidanovsky), who guides his two clients—a melancholic writer (Anatoly Solonitsyn) and a professor (Nikolai Grinko)—through a hazardous wasteland to a mysterious restricted site known simply as the "Zone", where supposedly exists a room which grants a person's innermost desires. The film combines elements of science fiction and fantasy with dramatic, philosophical, and psychological themes.[5]

We never post fake jobs

This isn't a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack's network.

Sometimes Jill's clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can't share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn't much we can do about it.

Give Jack a spin! You could land this role. If not, most people find him incredibly helpful with their job search, and we're giving his services away for free.

So many spam/scam recruitment emails. They all look like this, long but vague. They all profess to be from a big name, this is Amazon, but have been Nike, YSL, coca cola, fancy fashion houses etc. I think my details are taken from Linkedin.
Greetings [redacted]

I’m Juan Tirado from Amazon’s talent acquisition team. Our team is currently recruiting candidates with relevant marketing experience for a Social Media Manager position, and your profile stood out because your background and career direction reflect several qualities connected to the needs of the role.

Alongside technical experience, we value individuals who enjoy collaborative and fast-moving environments, remain proactive in developing their capabilities, and are prepared to adapt as marketing initiatives grow in complexity and reach.

What you'll be supporting:
 * Take part in developing and optimizing marketing programs that connect brand direction with practical execution while supporting business growth and stronger customer engagement.
 * Coordinate with relevant stakeholders throughout the planning and delivery process to maintain consistency, support effective implementation, and connect broader strategy with practical marketing execution.
 * Apply analytics, audience insights, and measurable results to refine existing approaches, support thoughtful decisions, and contribute to continued improvements in marketing effectiveness.
 * This full-time role may include remote or hybrid working options depending on its scope, location considerations, and business requirements, while providing opportunities to strengthen professional capabilities through real projects and exposure to different specialist teams.

The position may be a good match for professionals seeking continued development in marketing, broader exposure to practical initiatives, and a team culture that supports shared learning, collaboration, and new approaches.
