I first started working in the Senate in 1970–56 years ago. I have loved and revered the institution, worked in it and with it over all these decades, with dozens of senators from both parties. I’ve seen bad stuff and bad people along with great ones. Nothing quite compares to Eric Schmitt. 1

Let this sink in. Cornell University refused to refund Jane Doe's tuition the semester she was raped. Without this money, she could not transfer to another school. Essentially, she was forced to stay on campus where she saw those seven rapists frequently. Eventually she dropped out of college.

I was totally baffled by this—I thought maybe I missed something. Because why would she go to police if she said it was all consensual? It turns out the DA was playing language games: Doe described what happened to her, and *prosecutors* made a legal determination that what happened wasn’t a crime.

Please don't give the DA reopening the Cornell case any cookies. District Attorney Matthew Van Houten all but called Jane Doe a liar today. He said that in Doe's initial statement, she described "her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual.” CONSENSUAL

How clear is it that Trump's taxpayer funded ads are illegal? I explain why it is 10/10 clear. Senate in passing the law: Ban is designed to stop public funds used for "glorification" of an individual official. GAO: funds can not be used for "self-aggrandizement" nor partisan political purposes.
