Trump White House misspells “United” on the official “super intelligence” document with AI executives. Instead of “President of the United States,” it reads: “President of the Unites States.” Nothing says “super intelligence” quite like misspelling the name of the country.

On this day in 2003, Hurricane Juan made landfall near Halifax as a Category 2. It generated waves 20 metres high. About 31% of residential homes in Halifax suffered some degree of damage. It also caused extensive damage in Halifax Harbour and killed six people.

This is a crucial moment to reflect on climate education. Young people demand and deserve deeper knowledge, skills and understanding of climate change. Following the 2025 English Curriculum and Assessment Review, this commentary reflects on the relationship between geography and climate education in England. It convenes academics, postgraduate students, teachers,NGO representatives and researchers working across educational spaces. Geography has a distinctive and essential role in cli-mate education but falls short of its potential contribution to students' understandings of climate change. We argue for the value of an ongoing climate pathway across geography education, and beyond, which is cohesive, dynamic and fosters the development of knowledge, skills and critical thinking. Central to this pathway is creative co-production, a reinvigorated geographical ap-proach to climate education that empowers students. We end on two cautionary notes. First, we emphasise the intrinsic value ofa geographical approach to climate, rather than merely a route to green jobs. Second, geography cannot be reduced to the studyof climate alone and must retain its disciplinary identity. This commentary is intended to help shape these conversations as the Curriculum and Assessment Review is implemented.

I wonder why Halifax's Road Safety Strategy isn't working.

Safe Vehicles: Well designed and maintained personal, commercial, and public service vehicles are safer for both
their occupants and other users sharing the road. Newer vehicles can provide better crashworthiness
for occupants and may feature assistive safety technologies for vulnerable road users. Technologies
can adapt vehicles to prevent collisions and severity of outcomes.
Enforce Provincial vehicle safety regulations to ensure that vehicles on our roads meet the minimum
standards for safety and roadworthiness. As vehicle technology advances, consider how proven safety
technologies should be adopted in municipally owned vehicles.
