The entire right wing has been furious that the mayor of New York City had the nerve to be Muslim on 9/11, while their president is out here bragging about what a terrific relationship he has with the Saudi royal family.

The corporate media will demand a Democrat disavow words of a supporter a thousand times more than they will demand a Republican be accountable for the actions of their president

to hear Trump tell it, American elections were completely corrupted while he was president and he was helpless to stop it, then they were cleaned up by Biden ahead of Trump's victory in 2024, and now that Trump is president again they are once again becoming third world caliber

The only way to stop Trump’s endless wars is to stop funding them. But for Republicans, funding endless wars with your money is their brand, and Trump wants lots of new toys to play with so the draft dodger can feel strong and powerful watching videos of people getting blown up.

So he's gonna advocate for all people with depression to get four months off for rehabilitation, right? And he's gonna tell RFK jr to fuck off with his quest to limit the medication that Kean is very clearly taking to be functional?

My entire lifetime has seen Republicans benefit from every structural bias in the system: two republican presidents elected while losing the popular vote, the senate being biased towards small rural conservative states, house and state legislatures being heavily gerrymandered, and a captured SCOTUS.

It's an understudied element of our media environment that Republicans can insult Democrats in any way they see fit, regardless of propriety or truth value, without repercussion, but Dems are consistently forced to use measured tones to describe Republicans no matter how outrageous their actions.

Just to recap: Russia is currently helping Iranian forces try to kill US troops. In response, Trump is… lifting sanctions on Russia and threatening to pull out of NATO, which are the #1 and #2 items on Putin’s wishlist

There's something deeply obscene and broken about the fact that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are bombing elementary schools in an illegal war of aggression, and there's still a sense among the opposition that it has to be explained in terms of gas prices in order to get American voters to care.

This is a terrific piece of rhetorical construction that also happens to be a very good point. A lot of us have been heartened by the courage and integrity so many Minnesotans have shown over this past week, in the face of intimidation and spiteful violence.
Aaron Rupar tweet quoting Tim Walz: “If it was the intention of Donald Trump to make an example of Minnesota, then I'm damn proud of the example that the world is seeing”

This is the safest, most moderate course of action that offers some prospect of de-escalation. It is the only way for Democrats. Don't do it and we're on a glide path toward brutal fascist dictatorship or civil war. This isn't going to just stop on its own.

Trump got high on his own supply & never figured out the only reason his 1st term wasn’t even more of a disaster was that he inherited & coasted on a good economy. He’s learning the hard way now. Nuts senile person having nuke codes when you also can’t find a job is tough scenes
