Reactions to Camp Miasma on my timeline are strikingly polarized. 👍 👍 or 👎 👎, not much in the middle. (I haven't seen it myself.)

I don’t think people who are attractive should be allowed to be good at music, comedy or art. I will allow dance and some acting.

So hypothetically, in this scenario, with an election five weeks away, is it good to be the party that controls every branch of government? Is that a good situation to be in?

Every time I watch Hail Caesar! I notice new things. This time: the starlet whose illicit photoshoot Mannix busts up in the Big Sleep parody scene is named Gloria DeLamour. The song playing in the restaurant during Hobie and Carlotta's date is Benny Goodman's The Glory of Love.

Just heard an interesting example of a shift in language usage. Young receptionist asking an older man if he had a phone number, or just a landline. She rephrased it a couple times and it was very clear she didn’t consider a landline to be a “phone”.
