The right hate public service broadcasting specifically because it seeks to hold all politicians accountable, whereas much (not all) of privately owned media outlets serve conservative interests. When you're accustomed to client journalism, accountability hurts.

Struggling to see the sense in this argument; we have inadequately funded palliative care right now, and the absence of assisted dying legislation has hardly been an impetus for investment. Meanwhile, people die in pain and indignity.

The Bill includes robust protections for terminally ill people while giving them a chance to die in dignity and to end their suffering. No one should be unnecessarily forced to end their days in pain or indignity.

It's a tiny team for now, but it needs to get bigger and the platform needs the funders to enable that. I want Blue Sky to succeed, and I do see the lack of authentication as a barrier to long term growth. The need it on their roadmap.

It clearly isn't working, which is why a large number of reputable journalists and commentators were fooled by an inauthentic account. Reading the username isn't nearly as straightforward as you suggest, and in any event the system is open to username squatting as demonstrated in the Badenoch case.
