Pre-ACA, my partner (who has Crohn's Disease) was once denied coverage on my insurance for a whole year — because my employer filed paperwork for the company's new plan late, and there was a ONE DAY GAP of coverage. Oh, and I had no healthcare until I was 18 and got a FT job instead of college. 😒

I didn't have the heart to share yesterday, but yeah... sweet BeeBee's time over the rainbow came late Wednesday night. 🌈🐝 We laid her to rest yesterday in a pollinator garden next to our building. I already miss her terribly. What a gift, to love a gentle bee for a whole week.
