One of the more frustrating things is the footsie game where you say, "Democrats are abandoning us [trans people]" and you get, "Which?" and if you say which you get, "Well, that's just one of them, they're mostly good." At some point you need to at least acknowledge that the fear is reasonable.

Here's my feelings. UK Labour has been a disaster for trans people. It shows that voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil and that it costs real people their real lives and livelihoods. When you agree with Republicans on trans rights, you're giving up the principled position.

To finish, here's maybe the worst thing I've ever seen: Hot Dog Man. He and his horrible friend are in Syracuse, if you want to see these abominations live for some reason.

This thing is difficult to write alt text for in a Lovecraftian sense in that it's indescribably horrible. It's a six-foot anthropomorphic hot dog in a bun and some sort of wrapper. Its skin (?) tone is caucasian. It's squirting ketchup on its head with one hand, and its expression is one of concentration and, disturbingly, pleasure. Its tongue is out. There's mustard in its other hand, so clearly the party is just beginning. Its knees are bent in a slight crouch, and it's wearing sneakers and knee-high socks for some reason. It has eyebrows. Why does it have eyebrows?

A wider shot showing Hot Dog Man's accomplice, French Fry Guy. It's a six-foot conical package of fries. Its face is on the cardboard cone, so maybe the fries aren't actually part of its body? I hope so, because it's eating one and giving a thumbs-up. One eye is mostly closed, the other is wide but unseeing: the irises are black, and there's just a spot of grey in the middle of the pupils. Is this creature blind? It has heavy bags under its eyes and a wide mouth with obscenely red lips. The side that doesn't have a fry protruding from it is raised in a pointed, mocking smile. It also has shoes and socks.
