What the *heck* is going on over there? Wouldn’t it be nice to not have a gajillion conspiracy theories to have to negotiate in public spaces?

Give it time. If “floof” persists in usage long enough for the OED to include it, everyone else will cave.

One of the unexpected joys of getting older is the discovery of gardening(?!). Not too long ago I would have scoffed at the idea, but suddenly I'm planting native perennials and seeing myself as a steward of my patch of earth, connected to and responsible for continuing nature's cycles. #gardening

#nativeplants The Piedmont Shoal Lilies are blooming now. I had to weed amongst them, as big as these plants are, they were being swallowed whole by Jewelweed. Can't have that!

Bugs, fungi, parasites, viruses, algae, and bacteria are part of a system that keeps us alive. You yourself, are a host to billions of organisms that both help, and sometimes hurt you. This evolutionary system has taken billions of years to form. We cannot live without it.

#nativeplants Last summer I was able to locate and dig up 3 different individual Lilium micheauxii in our valley before the deer ate them. The deer always eat them, prevent the plants from blooming.

I completely agree: on a global perspective, switching to LED light bulbs and so on while we're spiking energy usage through data centers is a terrible strategy. On a personal strategy level, most of these things just make sense.

This is how our government has been corrupted: 1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians 2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor 3) Donors make huge profit 4) Repeat We must get big money out of politics. It’s the root of all evil in Washington.
