It's unreliable as a map, period. The color scheme and absence of good icons for places make it, for me, absolutely terrible. openstreetmaps are miles better than google maps, at which point why would you use google maps.

I think the most tragic thing about gta6 is that gta players are maybe the last people to appreciate all the incremental upgrades to the world and systems over earlier games because they just want the biggest game with the most stuff and the idea of that has outgrown what anyone could actually make

funnily enough this works in GTA V singleplayer, the car leaves a gas trail and then stops, but you're more likely to blow up the car by shooting the tank it also doesn't work on the electric cars in the game

People will say this is annoying and stupid. Eh, screw them. Making people do weird trivial stuff in games actually makes them better. I think of @anyaustin.bsky.social's video about San Andreas, where the fact that you can only save on Grove St. for so long makes it uniquely familiar.

The hold of Adobe on the photography industry is actually disgusting. There it's not like you need to use one software because others use it, you don't generally edit photos in a team. I'm aware that darktable may be difficult to learn but honestly Lightroom isn't that welcoming either.

It can't be overstated how unfit ICE's OPLA attorneys are to practice law outside of their kangaroo immigration courts. Dull & vicious in equal measure. I'm a solo prac who's spent most of his career in housing court & I've made mincemeat out of them. What attorneys with actual talent do is obscene.

AI pretends to replace what makes us human. Writing, drawing, creating, thinking, etc. It doesn't really as it fails miserably at all those tasks, but is good enough that some people get convinced and excited as they can now stop doing those things entirely, things that make us human..
