my dad once told me about his 3d rendering class where his final project was to make a spinning cube that didn't show the faces behind the front. and then in the next class they typed something like "opengl.cube" and it did it automatically and he almost went insane

some of the best comics in the world are in this bundle of PDFs from Fantagraphics, written and drawn by titans of the medium. Bay Area Legend Briana Loewinsohn is in here. Joe Sacco is a good read. Stan Sakai is a ton of fun. George Herriman too. Well worth it. www.humblebundle.com/books/50-ess...

Scenes such as this where the light is reflecting on the water are accomplished through a process called "backlighting", "underlighting" or "bipack glow". To create the effect a matte is cut and light is shone through the holes.

🎂🎂🎂Happy 27th Birthday, Dreamcast!🎂🎂🎂 I'll never forget the depth of your game library and how wonderfully diverse and creative your peripherals were

An illustration of Sonic holding the Dreamcast Twin Sticks next to Ulala from Space Channel 5 Part 2 holding a Dreamcast controller with a Seaman microphone, with Beat from Jet Grind Radio behind them holding a fishing controller. They are all intertwined by the cords of their peripherals, while behind them is a giant Dreamcast glowing gently over them. In the background are floating Chao, Light Chao, and Dark Chao, Amigo from Samba de Amigo, and a Chu Chu and Kapu Kapu. Also Seaman looking upset at Ulala, maybe Ulala said some crass words that he didn't enjoy

Capcom's X-Men vs Street Fighter team drew a bunch of Rogue and Gambit gag strips.

Rogue and Gambit in the style of influential shoujo manga artists like Moto Hagio. This one's about Rogue's desire to be a "normal girl"

Ren & Stimpy style Rogue & Gambit. Gambit does a big Tex Avery awooga over Rogue, Rogue slaps him and yells DON'T TOUCH ME. A weepy Rogue holds Gambit close and says "But Ah wanna be an ordinary girl."

Gambit thinking about Storm, Chun, and Cammy while Rogue glares and cracks her knuckles
